If someone asked me, “Why can’t you just accept me (and my sin) the way I am?”, I would have to say, “Because I don’t accept me the way I am.”

God didn’t call me to be the best me I can be.  He said, “Be like Christ.”  Who I am isn’t worth being like.

Only He is worthy!

No.  There’s a difference between love and acceptance of a person and acceptance of their sin.  Notice I didn’t say I didn’t accept myself.  I said I don’t accept the way I am.  As in, I’m not content to remain that way.  If I really love someone, I wouldn’t want them to remain in sin, would I?
