cold…
it makes the house cozier.
watching recorded football playoffs with daddy and the boys,
folks napping left and right,
it feels like the holidays.
wind blowing against the house,
i can see the bushes around porch railing shaking.
(i’m so glad we have a big front porch.)
we’ll get ice tonight,
freezing rain tomorrow,
and the possibility of a few snow flakes tomorrow night.
this is what winter was meant to be.
It is cold. It’s nice till you have to chip your car door open! 🙂
(I wrote that poem)
The holidays should be like this. My house is very cozy tonight. I might sleep in the living room with the dying fire,
wow….I can’t believe you guys have…ICE!!!
Good football games, eh? Hannah and I have been total football junkines this year. We watched three games on Saturday and Sunday
My cold is better, thanks for asking. In fact, after two rough days I spent either in bed or recording music (because I could do it sitting down), I was able to muster up enough strength for work on Saturday and a day in the park with some friends I haven’t spent much time around lately on Sunday (it was 70 some odd degrees). Mostly we laid around on blankets. (what is it with girls? You all always have stuff like that in your vehicles…be ready for a picnic at a moments notice **grin**). But I also tossed a football around (no running, tackling, etc, just tossing and teasing people). So I am feeling quite a bit better.
Let me just say down with Tom Brady and his evil blue and silver clad minions…evil incarnate if ever I saw it. I was a big fan of the Browns when Marty Schottenheimer coached them, so alas, the collapse of the Chargers brought back painful memories…
And…
Be on the lookout for Sara’s personal ad in a future post…muhahahahahahah
You were right about the voices. I think Jonathon told us about it, and we decided to drive over and see it. I read that the fire ball that flashed up was just for show. The shock waves from the second explosion that brought down the plant were powerful. We felt them from the bridge where we were.
