Women don’t want to hear what you think.

They want to hear what they think, in a deeper voice.

Yesterday my baby sister—the one who called me “mama-sister”—turned 18.  And ya know, I don’t even feel old!   It’s fun having her share my room.

  1. He was wrong.  The line should be, “They hear what they want to think, in a deeper voice.”  It bears saying again, women are made to be admired but not understood.

  2. By realizing the reality of our Prince within us, we are never bothered again by the fact that we do not understand ourselves, or that other people do not understand us.  The only One who truly understands me is the One who made me and who redeems me….It is a tremendous freedom to get rid of every kind of self-consideration and learn to care about only one thing – the relationship between our Prince and ourselves.   ~Oswald Chambers, paraphrase (from Authentic Beauty by Leslie Ludy)
Side note:  Someday I hope that Satan will stop winning victories in the “battle of the sexes”.  When did it all start?  Maybe at the garden of Eden when everyone was blaming someone else for their actions.
