It’s official!

I am going to England this summer.  I have no choice.  I just bought our tickets.  Woohoo!  I’m actually going!  Hannah’s mom asked me if I was excited when I called there earlier.  She said, “You sound a little bit bummed.”  I told her yes, I’m excited, but it’s kinda strange.  My whole summer is planned…and it’s only March??  But talking to Michelle gets me downright giddy about it.  *smiles*

I gave Gracie a bath tonight.  It’s been a long time since I scrubbed a little head.  She is so funny about the water.  She doesn’t really mind it dripping in her face…she reacts to it, but as along as I laugh and smile she thinks it’s great.  She has a little ring that she sits in so I don’t have to hold her up the whole time, and she doesn’t really mind it, but she likes to hold onto it instead of playing in the water.  When I took her out of it she splashed up a storm.  I also helped her float on her back.  She liked it until she turned her head and got water in her ear…she doesn’t like that.  She also folded herself in half to grab her feet (her typical on-her-back position) and cracked me up.  I hope she’ll learn to swim early on.  I want her to like the water. 

The children kept wanting to come in and watch.  They had to take turns since we were in the hall bath—not a lot of space.  Oh, but she was cute.  And she was so soft and sweet-smelling when I got her out.  Stacy had handed me a little white t-shirt and some little yellow pants to put on her for bed.  Of course the shirt isn’t quite long enough, so her little tummy sticks out.  Modesty, darling!  LOL  What a doll. 

She changes every day.  Mom finally got us registered with that program based in Utah.  They have a chapter in Dallas, and Sonya’s appointment is in the middle of June.  She’ll be a year old by then.  I hope we can do a lot for her.
