hunkerin’ down

the creeks are already up around here.  the gas lines are ridiculous.

the grocery lines are worse–it went all the way to the back of the store and started wrapping around.  we decided our ice cream could wait.

at least we did our gas and grocery runs last night.

we’re boarding up and, as far as we know, waiting it out.

  1. Hey Sara!  We decided to leave last night….came to my Grandparents house in East TX…now we’re just praying and enjoying a little ‘get-away’. =) If you can…I’d like to hear an update on what’s going on around there in the next few days….. :)Oh! And on a totally different subject…..did you get your haircut short?  Your picture’s really cute!

  2. we’re sort of going and staying. staying in our house would be not good for a number of reasons, so we’re going to hang out at the DGs. although all of them except mr dg have gone to abbie and tim’s.

  3. Thanks for your comment… I definitely agree with you, but I think you misunderstood my point.  I didn’t mean abortion was a good option; I agree that it shouldn’t be an option at all (in most cases… and in the others, I have no idea!)  I meant that hope still exists in the midst of it.  I made a new post that hopefully clarifies that better.  Anyway, we’re praying for your safety… What part of Texas (or Louisiana?) do you live in?

  4. yeah, we don’t have any boards so my room is creamed. We chopped up some bookshelves and put them on the most dangerous four windows. I am getting everything out of my room and taping my closet doors shut. Yep, we have the rasks. And their sardines. And their cat. And the sardines are not for the cat.
