I thought about posting something that would get everyone’s attention
and freak everyone out (like someone else did this morning).
Something that would have all my friends desperately trying to get
through on my not-working cell phone to find out what I was
thinking. Something like…
I’m getting married!
or
I’m moving to Europe!
Ha! I could probably just say I was in love, or got a job in Dallas and get that effect….
But I couldn’t bring myself to actually do it. So…you can all go on about your quiet lives. No excitement here.
We did go to a play called “Fools” this afternoon. That part is
true. And it was fun. It’s fun when you know half the cast.
My day was rather unremarkable.
I figured at least someone else would see your stuff in the big font and reply without reading the rest.
No fun April fool’s jokes, but I and some of the other TN Xanga’ers did see one of the great bad movies of all time on Bad Movie Night…called The Calamari Wrestler…admit it, you are intrigued…
Congratulations!
This will be a rambling comment because I am trying to respond to two comments at once…multitasking is my life…first…very clever to get Texas in there…well, I am a clever guy…at least momma always said so :0). Seriously, I hope, as I do for all my female friends that this week when you least expect it someone is seriously startled by you (without throwing your life into much of a tizzy)…
Second…the Calimari Wrestler…are you suggesting a cook-off type show like Throwdown with Bobby Flay? Where chefs will be challenged to make calamari edible in every course of a five course meal or something? Like they are wrestling with it as a food item? Hmmmm…that is a delightful calamri short-cake, Ms.Ray…
In the movie (I will post a picture from it for you and all who didn’t actually se it, because otherwise, you just wouldn’t believe the description), a Japanese pro wrestler dies and is reincarnated…as a giant squid. When asked “sholdn’t squid live in water” he responded that this was a misconception produced by mediocre minds, squid can live anywhere they choose. That is the kind of cinematic greatness we are dealing with here…I was very happy to know that I after looking it up on line, it was intended to be comedy…I am equally glad that my friend Lou up here via New Jersey is every bit the nutball I am in choosing these things…I thought it was just me…
On a serious note, yes it is the most amazing feeling when people appreciate your art or craft or whatever creative output you have…part of the reason I do it is I so liked how other people’s work made me feel, so I wanted my work to do that in others…keep praying as you remember. I have to decided if I for real am prgramming drums and using loops/samples on the new stuff I am working on or if I should be waiting on a drummer…I can do everything else. I want to do the programming becasue it will give quite a bit of satisfaction to have produced something all on my own, but will require some upgrades in equipment and I want to make sure that’s where God is…there is talk I could inherit usage of a laptop and looping software from the church (which I would also use to do some things for worship) if we sell the property we own (they would be upgrading) but I don’t know that for sure, it was just kind of hinted at…
how are your musical pursuits coming? we haven’t heard anything in a while…
sorry about all the micues on that comment…I just read it back…wow
Oh come on.
