is there anything more amazing
than the sound of rumbling thunder?
it means awe, anticipation. comfort when you’re indoors, excitement when you’re out.
thunder makes me think of my God.

i love thunder, too. i always wish it would stay longer. (except when it becomes dreadfully inconvenient, and even then i can’t help loving it.)
In the Bible, His voice sounds like thunder, so it works out. These people who let the church use their house for various functions live up on this place called Missionary Ridge. They have the best view of the city. In their back yard, you can look down into it but also see storms as they come in over the surrounding mountains, which you really can’t down in the valley…it is one of the most amazing things ever. I like to sit out there when the wind starts to bring the storm in and watch the lightning from that height.
