i guess there are advantages to living near an oil-town after all.

I know of two stores selling it for that. My office is next door to one. 🙂
I have at times thought about how different circumstances are evidence of God at work in the lives of many people instead of just one (usually me). Happened just recently with our worship team. God was leading one guy out of leadership while another who had accepted a role playing an instrument that was not natural to him was growing frustrated with that role and felt led to be a worship leader and do his natural thing. Which he is now doing. And another guy has taken the role he was in who is also not natural to it. I kind of thought about that when I was (and still am, truth be told) thinking about stepping down from my service areas…maybe God has someone else He would like to take on those roles for a while. I knew the areas of service would not collapse without me…that would be a pretty arrogant thing to think. Just like my fear was over the huricanes with the cities…I thought it was pretty arrogant and self centered for my niece to be led to believe her prayers saved Destin because that would mean her prayers matter more than the ones offered in N.O.I am touched to read your candidness about some of your life circumstances and attitudes. Sometimes I think I am the only one who deals with things like that. I thought I would have Christianity down by now and be doing spectacular things, not contemplating dropping out of service. I also figured I would have been married for 10 years or so with a couple of wonderful children and either well into a fulfilling regular job-type career or making a living doing music instead of not figuring out what to do and having so much self doubt about music and my abilities and circumstances that may be pulling it from my hands. Sorry to hear that about your mom. For what its worth, even the one family member I know loves me doesn’t get me. And I don’t get them. So I feel you on that one.I like your long comments :0) They show that you actual read what I write and think about it. I hope you accept mine too. But too bad if you don’t, because I did it already…so you are stuck with it.
WHERE did you pay $1.99 for gas??? It’s still about $2.20 on this side of town!
Lovely, cheap, afordible gas.
