rollerblading with my sis.
beautiful weather at sunset.
crossing the big field to the school,
nice wide sidewalk,
all that grass makes for chilly breezes.
and lots of bugs.
on the way home
taking the downhill slope at a nice fast coast,
got a bug in my eye
and maybe a couple in my mouth.
i just swallowed those
but had to wait till we got home
to fish the one out of my eye.
amazing what you can take in stride
when you don’t have much of a choice.
i suppose i could have danced around the kitchen,
totally freaked out and made
my mom or Steph help me,
but i didn’t.
i just got it out and showed the baby.

  1. They are indeed most kissable! (and often kissed)  It is amazing the attention one can attract simply by carrying around a baby…whoever happens to be holding him at church is suddenly the center of a circle and in every store I enter heads turn to look, particularly those of other small children….an interesting observation I had never made before, despite the numerous babies I have had the privilege of caring for.

  2. Well when I’m pointed, even comically, you get uptight.  So you see much vaguery.
I am sure I biked through “your” field last week.  And I didn’t even realize it at the time.

  3. Oh I can name a few times without even trying to think about it.  You seem to often take me FAR too seriously when you shouldn’t, and not serious enough when you should.

  4. What’s funny is that you seem to think you know where you took me way too seriously.

    I know something you don’t know . . .
And I don’t think I’ll be GIVING it to you.

  5. Yes- Peter seems like Elwood, but more often I find myself seeing Elwood as Peter…and Dr. Sanderson as  Noah and the nurse as Elaine… poor David, when we were watching it the other night, I kept saying, “Oh, Elaine and Noah were really good at this part!” and “Peter did that really well.” It’s such a good play/movie/memory…
It was good to see you and Stephy and Sonya last night.  She’s so adorable- must be a joy to live with.  Sorry we didn’t get to talk much.  Hope your weekend is wonderful.

  6. You shouldn’t ask unless you are willing to work for an answer. By all means don’t give up, I am enjoying the comentary between you and Jordan, it’s classic. I must be a pro at saying things that do not matter in reality and often make people dislike me for it. I just thought I would say that the whole situation makes me laugh and if you really want to get back you have to be the one laughing the hardest.
