Another first: I went to an Astro’s game tonight, with my sister’s
cast. We lost, but I enjoyed learning a little bit more about
baseball and hanging out with some good people.
At the bottom of the sixth inning (I had to learn what that was, too),
the board flashed “Welcome A.D. Players cast of ‘Anne of Green
Gables’.” I had my camera ready–oh, why was it the only one
there?!–and stood up to take the picture, and the darn thing took too
long to focus and so I got a Happy-anniversary-Herman-somebody
instead. I will beat myself up about that one for a while.
It would have been a great pic to share here, especially for a couple
of the folks who couldn’t be there. Ah, well. But it was a
good first experience. And, yes, I’d do it again even though it’s not as exciting as football. *smiles*
Edit::
I forgot to say that the two exciting parts of the game were
1) when the Cubs hit a home run near us and our entire section was yelling “throw it back”, and
2) when a fan got onto the field and then tried to climb the wall to
get away from the security guards. He didn’t–they grabbed him
and yanked him down and tackled him. So we got some football-like
action after all.
lol! So was the crowd cheering on the guy as he tried to make his great escape from the security guards?
yes i got an a… why are you surprised?
Child, don’t ever eat breakfast with me again.
Hey Sara, I’m glad you found me – thanks for saying hey. Let me know how things are going for y’all – it’s been forever! Tell your family I say hi.

Hm. Exciting.
lol! I loved that last sentence………or paragraph or whatever it was about the football like action. I have no idea why I thought that was funny.
You look great in that profile picture if I do say so myself.
That WAS a great game…. thanks for the memory!
