Here’s an update for those of you who are not After Lifers. (‘specially for Leelee.)
On the family I’ve been staying with: their names are Steve and Elizabeth, btw. Steve got back from Indiana late tonight, so I finally got to come home. The stress of having mom in the hospital and then dad gone as soon as she came home has taken it’s toll on their children. And they dealt it out on me. *smiles* The hardest thing was trying to babysit with parents still there–I’m not very tolerant of misbehavior, but we figured it out.
Pray that they will have a good week just being a family again. Pray for baby Jonathan that his body would take care of a pretty serious case of jaundice, and pray that he would start nursing well so that she doesn’t have to put him on a bottle right-off-the-bat. Pray for Steve’s family as they deal with the tragedy dealt them and some of the spiritual warfare that seems to be surrounding this situation. Praise that God is already displaying His power and mercy to many of the extended family members.
Also, please pray that I will catch up on my rest, but that I won’t give into the temptation to do nothing for the next two days. *wry grin* I can’t afford to lay around, but right now that’s all I’m motivated to do. Maybe a good night’s sleep will help.
Thanks for all your prayers so far…it means the world to me to know ya’ll care so much.
p.s. pray for the mission team to Russia that left today, and for Jonathan, who leaves Sunday!
Funny, I was just thinking how I missed you and what a cool big sister you are. Then you wrote to me. Come on, get up. Do something. You’ll feel better.
I’ll keep them in my thoughts. thanks for keeping us updated! I hope you start feeling full of energy again really soon.
by the way, did mom call you about Lori Johnson- John Roach’s (is that how you spell his last name??) sister? she died in a boating accident last week. keep that family in your prayers as well.
Lean on the LORD and He will carry you through.
Be encouraged and cast all your cares on Him, for He cares for you.
(So do I!)
